The festive season is upon us, with the cold weather and long nights rolling in to prepare us for the Christmas celebrations. The Christmas spirit is accompanied by the spirit of giving, and with this in mind, RSW International has chosen three local charities that as a company we feel deserve to be highlighted and a contribution to their causes. All our staff have worked together to create thoughtful hampers for Dr Kershaw’s, Springhill Hospice and Pennine Pen Animal Rescue.

Our lovely staff members have gathered enough goodies to not just fill three hampers but five and then some. The three hampers for the local hospices were filled with small gifts, crackers, chocolates, biscuits, teas, port, wine, baileys and so many more Christmas treats. The two hampers for Pennine Pen Animal Rescue were filled with dog and cat toys, bowls, pet beds, collars, leads and so many more pet accessories.

RSW love helping and getting involved in the community and feel these three charities offer the best services they can to their causes locally. Here is a little about the great work each of these charity organisations do.

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice has a peaceful and homely environment to offer palliative care to a population of 220,000 in Oldham and the surrounding area. They are an independent hospice that offers care to patients at all stages of illness, including those undergoing treatment, rehabilitation and those nearing the end of life.

Springhill Hospice

Springhill Hospice has embedded itself in the community of Rochdale and the surrounding area since opening its doors in 1989. Offering palliative care to patients and their families from diagnosis through to end of life. With a wide range of services and care including support service for bereavement, counselling and therapies.

Pennine Pen Animal Rescue

Pennine Pen Animal Rescue is dedicated to providing sanctuary to unwanted and abandoned animals with love and care every pet deserves. They believe in neutering, vaccinating and microchipping all the cats and dogs that they help to prevent unwanted litters and disease.
